Medical Aesthetics

Non-Surgical Cosmetic Injectables provide an alternative option to surgery to help you age gracefully. I only provide minimal and natural enhancements to help you feel your best. I will ALWAYS guide you on what treatments would be best to achieve your desired results. My approach is to treat the anatomical cause of your concerns rather than treat areas unnecessarily. The consultation stage is paramount and I like you to ask as many questions as you like and I also like to educate you on the reason for your selected treatment and what you can expect to achieve.

Anti Wrinkle Injections

Botulinum Toxin Type A (Botox) is a neuromodulator which when injected into the muscles of facial expression relaxes the muscle which prevents muscle contraction. This procedure helps to minimise static lines from presenting (deep lines at rest) & also prevents dynamic lines (lines due to muscle contraction).

The treatment lasts anywhere between 3-4 months.

Treatment areas: Forehead lines, frown lines, crows feet, gummy smile, Nefertiti neck lift, excessive under arm sweating, dimpled chin, masseter muscles (teeth clenching).

How to prepare for your medical aesthetics consultation

Questions ready

Have your questions ready. I like to have a thorough discussion and carry out a detailed medical history prior to any treatment. The aim of the consultation is for you to feel informed about your options to treat your concerns.

No makeup

If possible I prefer you to come to your appointment with no makeup. It is essential I assess skin quality prior to any medical aesthetics treatments as you may require alternative treatments.
If coming from work NO PROBLEM!

Be open minded

Whilst you may have decided what treatment you want from an online search or social media it is important to listen to the advice from a professional who can assess your skin in person and treat appropriately.

Facial Aesthetics Frequently Asked Questions

What should I avoid before Injectables?

I like you to avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, st johns wort, alcohol and sun exposure including sunbeds 1 week before your appointment as this can impair wound healing post treatment. If you have a skin condition which is having a flare postponing treatment is essential.

What is the downtime?

Little to no downtime. However post Dermal fillers you can get swelling up to 48 hours post treatment which then settles. For both Botox and Dermal Fillers some bruising can occur.

How can I prepare for my treatment?

Taking arnica tablets 1 week leading up to your appointment can minimise post-treatment bruising. If you experience cold sores (herpes virus) taking aciclovir tablets can minimise risk of a breakout of cold sores.

Are the treatments reversible?

Dermal Fillers we can dissolve with an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. Botox requires waiting for the effect of the drug to wear off which is around 3-4 months.

Do you offer review appointments?

Yes, all of my patients are seen two weeks post treatment so we can assess the results of your treatment and make any tweaks in necessary.

Who should not get Medical Aesthetics?

Women who are pregnant or nursing. Some medical conditions are also a contraindication for treatment. Antonia also has a strict age policy of 21+ for treatments.
